Since 1883

Since 1883 Grand-Hôtel Le Baron has been standing proudly at the top of the Waterfalls of Coo.
Initially it counted just one storey, but at the beginning of the new century two additional floors were build.
The hotel has been owned by one family for 100 years, it was transferred from mother to oldest daughter in three generations. With great devotion the family promoted Le Baron in the wide surroundings.
Even queen Marie-Henriette, the wife of Leopold II, king of Belgium, stayed here around 1890.

During the winter of 2008-2009 the restaurant of the old Grand-Hôtel Le Baron has been renovated into the cozy brasserie-restaurant of today. There is also a spacious terrace in plain sunlight and with a wide view. In 2017 our 6 new and luxurious holiday apartments were created in the former hotel above the restaurant, for 2 or 4 persons. The project has recently been completed with a home brewery, where we brew our Le Baron Blonde Beer. Be sure to taste it!

The location of Le Baron is perfect, situated directly at the famous Waterfalls of Coo, nothing and nobody can escape your attention. Coo is situated in the center of the Ardennes, which makes it easy to make day trips. From Maastricht to Luxembourg, from Durbuy to the High Fenn, it's all within reach. But also the lovely Stavelot, Malmedy, The Thermes of Spa, Francorchamps with its famous Formula 1 racing circuit, the caves, the ski slopes, the magnificent nature all around… anyway, too much to mention, it is all just a stones throw away.
